About MaleToyLab

MaleToyLab is run by a small team of adult men who were frustrated by the state of male sex toy reviews online. Most review sites were either written by people who clearly hadn't used the products, stuffed with Amazon links with no real opinion, or aimed entirely at women and couples — ignoring the solo male user.

We built MaleToyLab to fill that gap: honest, first-person reviews written by people who actually use the toys, with ratings that matter to real users — especially noise level, which almost no other site covers.

We publish under the MaleToyLab Team name to protect personal privacy, as is standard in this category. Our reviews are not paid for, sponsored, or influenced by brands. We purchase or source all products independently.

Every product on MaleToyLab goes through the same testing process before we publish a verdict:

• 4-week minimum use period — we don't write reviews after a single session. We use each toy over multiple sessions across different settings and intensity levels.
• Noise measurement — we test every motorized toy in a quiet room (background level ~25dB) and rate noise output from 1 (near-silent) to 5 (audible through a closed door). This is the rating system we're most proud of — no other male toy review site does this consistently.
• Build quality inspection — seams, material texture, charging reliability, water resistance, and sleeve durability over time.
• App testing — for app-connected toys, we test Bluetooth reliability, connection drops, app UI quality, and partner control features.
• Value assessment — we consider price relative to what you actually get, not just the sticker price.

Noise is the most-asked-about topic in male sex toy reviews — and the least answered. We built our own 5-pip noise scale because no standardized rating existed:
